Know all Frequency Generator and Their Types

Frequency Generator

Frequency Generator

A frequency generator is a one type of electronic device, used as a research instrument by clinical researchers, practitioners to affect the human body in making changes in the chemical by using sound waves or bio-frequencies. The working principle of frequency generator is sympathetic resonance. For instance, if there are two same objects and one of the objects is vibrating, then remaining object will begin to vibrate. In the similar way that a wave can make resonance in a crystal glass and to break up the kidney stones an ultrasound can be used. Many researchers believe that a frequency can be produced to rouse the function of organ, parasites and viruses, resulting in their removal from the human body. This article gives an overview of a frequency generator circuit and its working.

What is a Frequency Generator?

A frequency generator is an electronic device, that is used to electrocute separate organisms with the Syncrometer to find the frequency of a particular organism.

Frequency Generator Circuit Diagram

The circuit diagram of the high frequency waveform generator is shown below. This circuit is designed with various electrical and electronic components

Frequency Generator Circuit

Frequency Generator Circuit

The main function of this frequency generator circuit is to generate sine wave, square wave or triangle wave by programming the inputs of the pins A0 and A1.

  • If the inputs of the pins are A0 and A1 then it generates waveform
  • If the inputs of the pin are X1 then it generates sine wave
  • If the inputs of the pins are 00 then it generates square wave
  • If the inputs of the pins are 10 then it generates a triangle wave.

The flow of current in the above circuit can control the frequency. If we detach the 20k RIN from pin1 (REF) and connect it to DAC, then we can control the frequency using a digital interference or a microcontroller.Even we can regulate the IC chip using a quartz crystal by controlling the current using the o/p of a phase comparator that matches the synchronized output(pin-14 of MAX038) and a reference CLK from the quartz crystal oscillator. This frequency waveform generator IC chip is quite interesting since it can produce 0.1Hz-20MHz, wide operating frequency, as estimated for every waveform generator device.

Types of Frequency Generators

There are various types of frequency generators with different applications. Generally, no instrument is suitable for all the applications which are possible.Usually, these generators have been embedded hardware units, but since at the time of multimedia PCs, programmable, flexible software tone generators have also been available. Frequency generator circuits are used for testing, designing, repairing electronic devices, troubleshooting and also used as artistic.

Audio Frequency Generator

The audio frequency generator is a one kind of frequency generator and it is an activated signal generator. Whenever a positive pulse is applied to the input of the circuit, then a modulated audio frequency signal comes out as an output. The signal pattern of this circuit is same to a chirp of a bird. The pulse width of the activate signal must be millisec. The voltage supply is between 9V and 20V. Audio frequency generator consumes 2mA current or below. This circuit can be changed as a morse code signal generator by replacing the C1 capacitor with a 0.1UF capacitor.

Digital Frequency Generator

In a digital frequency generator, the digital part comprises of an adder, a shift register, a 1M bit EPROM and a latch. The shift register decreases the necessity of port pins at the microcontroller unit from 33-pin to 3-pin. It also synchronizes the input data from the microcontroller unit with the adder operation.

The output of the adder is connected as a feedback to itself through the latch. So the output value of the latch is improved by the shift register’s value at every CLK cycle. The value of the register is also taken as an address for the EPROM. This EPROM comprises of a table, which permits to change the value from the latch into the amplitude of the o/p signal. In principle, every waveform can be stored and then produced.

The exactness of the frequency produced is determined at low frequencies by the accuracy of the oscillator & at high frequencies by the jitter, which is caused by the separate nature of adder & table. The amplitude modulation and frequency modulation is based on a DDS software in the MCU. Since the sinus is read from a 16K byte lookup table (Least Significant Bit first) starting at and H01000, you can substitute it by any other kind of waveform.

Features of the Digital Frequency Generator

The main features of the digital frequency generator include the following

  • 16-bit digital to analog conversion, gives a clear sign up to 2 Megahertz with 4-times over sampling
  • 2.5 Megahertz 9thorder Butterworth filter
  • 32-bit adder results in 0.0037 Hertz tuning steps whereas running at 16 Megahertz
  • Frequency Modulation and Amplitude Modulation:
  • Microcontroller includes software DDS
  • Modulation with sine waveform, triangle waveform and sawtooth waveform
  • 24-bit adder results in 0.0003 Hertz changing steps whereas running at 5.3 kHz for frequency modulation and 0.0005 Hertz changing steps whereas running at 8.9 kHz for AM
  • Modulation with 12-bit for amplitude modulation and 16-bit for frequency modulation
  • 2 kilohertz 4th order Butterworth filter for AM signal
  • The output voltage can adjust from 0 to +/-12V
  • The output offset can adjust from 0 to +/-8V
  • Operation of this frequency generator is stand alone
    Remote control through RS232
